25 Aug 2016 — Ze Jesus won sixth place in the Koda Factory Matsusaka West Clio in the opening round of the Atlantic Motorsport Clio Super Series.

Jesus spent the majority of 14 laps total pursuing Juan Aul after being engaged and passed by him on the fifth lap. Jesus launched a prolonged attack at Aul in the early stages, staying within a lap behind him and gaining ground over a continuous run of 13 laps. Ultimately Jesus settled into sixth the seven laps running to the checkered flag.

Atlantic Motorsport Clio Super Series moves on to Round 2 in two weeks at Mid Ohio – No Chicane. The series has 10 drivers competing for points in the championship.

Harris Muhammad leads the championship in a tight campaign over Manuel Alves, separated by just a couple grid spots. The title continues to be challenged by Fahn Thomas, Juan Puyo, Juan Aul, Ze Jesus, Tiago Santana, Bruno Gil, Rubens Filho, and Pablo Rangel as well. The Top 5 places are an open battleground for 10 drivers in the running with four races remaining.
