14 Oct 2016 — One last pass on the final lap put Joao Botelho De Sousa in sixth place at the finish line in the Suzuka – East Skoda ’08 in Round 2 of the Skoda Challenge – Simulation Racing Pilipinas series.
Botelho De Sousa ran the majority of 11 laps total pursuing Everett Dumont after catching him on the third lap, coming from as many as three places back. Botelho De Sousa launched a prolonged challenge at Dumont late in the action, staying within a sector behind him and keeping pace over a continuous run of five laps. Botelho De Sousa cleared Dumont and into sixth place on his final lap.
Botelho De Sousa moves up to fifth in the standings, four points behind Juliano Flores. Botelho De Sousa has two starts and finished as high as sixth.
Skoda Challenge – Simulation Racing Pilipinas series moves on to Round 3 in a week at Vallelunga – Club. The series has 14 drivers competing for points in the championship.
