29 Nov 2016 — Nuno Gaiteira won fourth place in the Monza ’70s F1’71 in Round 9 of the 1971 Virtual Formula 1 Championship series.
Gaiteira moves up to fifth in the standings, 10 points behind Carl Schulz. Gaiteira has nine starts and finished as high as fourth.
1971 Virtual Formula 1 Championship series moves on to Round 10 in a week at Mosport 2012. The series has 20 drivers competing for points in the championship.
First place in the series is owned by Matt Geddes, but the remaining places in the Top 5 are an open field for 17 drivers in the running. Francis Cabrera, Gerardo Doglioli, Carl Schulz, Nuno Gaiteira, Bruno Chacon, Porfirio Dias Santos, and Phil Brown are all within one race of the current podium.
