13 May 2016 — Fernando Silva raced past the checkered flag a hairline 0.086 seconds ahead of Rasa Djordjevic to take fourth place in the Autodrom Most – GP Abarth500 in Round 3 of the Trofeo Abarth Europe Season 2 series.
Silva traded positions with Rasa Djordjevic in a long and tense battle for sixth starting early on, running within a car length of each other over a range of 12 laps. Silva ran nearly equal parts leading Djordjevic after being caught by him on the first lap. After losing the spot on lap 2, Silva got around Djordjevic and into fourth place on lap 9, and defended it against pressure by Djordjevic the remaining four laps to the thrilling finish.
Silva moves up to fifth in the standings, 14 points behind Diogo Velosa. Silva has two starts and finished as high as fourth.
