10 Oct 2016 — Naomi Makin took ninth place in the Brianza Junior Polo93 in Round 2 of the VW Polo Trophy Season 4 series.

Makin ran all of 17 laps total pursuing Ashley Bevis after engaging him on the first lap. Makin launched an extended attack at Bevis midway through, staying within a lap behind him and keeping pace over a solid run of 15 laps. Ultimately Makin settled into ninth the nine laps running to the conclusion.

Makin moves up to eighth in the standings, one point behind Ashley Bevis. Makin has two starts and finished as high as ninth.

VW Polo Trophy Season 4 series moves on to Round 3 in a week at Charade. The series has 15 drivers competing for points in the championship.

Ricardo Gomes leads the championship in a tight campaign over Nuno Gaiteira, separated by just a couple grid spots. The title continues to be challenged by Porfirio Dias Santos, Mark Carty, Joao Botelho De Sousa, Luís Almeida, Ashley Bevis, Naomi Makin, Michele Boffelli, Octavio Correia, Manuel Alves, Juan Aul, Yahya Zakari, Gino Bardelli, and Miguel Teixeira as well. The Top 5 places are an open battleground for 15 drivers in the running with three races remaining.
