18 Nov 2016 — Martin Buchan raced at the front of the WEGTE field most of all drivers, leading 23 of 23 laps on a run to first place in the Paul Ricard GT Multiclass in Round 4 of the Virtual Le Mans Series.
Buchan ran all of 23 laps total leading Matt Geddes after being caught by him on the first lap. After starting second, Buchan took the race lead on the first lap and controlled it to the victory.
Buchan is sixth in the WEGTE class standings for the series. He has one start and led 23 of his 23 laps raced while taking the victory once.
Virtual Le Mans Series moves on to Round 5 in two weeks at Spa-Francorchamps ’12. The series has 35 drivers competing for points in the multiclass championships.
Tobias Mueller leads the WEGTE class championship. The title continues to be challenged by Roberto Boniotti, Matt Geddes, Mark Carty, Fahn Thomas, Martin Buchan, Gary Murray, Tim Weller, Reinhard Berger, and Nuno Gaiteira. The Top 5 places are an open battleground for 20 drivers in the running with two races remaining.
Ville Hartikainen leads the WEP2 class championship in a tight campaign over Ricardo Gomes, separated by just a few finishing positions. The title continues to be challenged by Porfirio Dias Santos, Brian Fairley, Nicolo Bertolotti, Fahn Thomas, Luís Almeida, Mark Carty, Rafael Iwata, Alex Freitas, Bruno Chacon, Joao Botelho De Sousa, Michele Boffelli, Carl Schulz, Paulo Neto, Norman Bruce, Aitor Gonzalez, and Jason Whited as well. The Top 5 places are an open field for 18 drivers in the running with two races remaining.
