28 Jul 2014 — Mario Rocha took fourth place in the S5000 LE class in the Braga Vasco Sameiro Multiclass in the opening round of the Historic SportsCar Iberic Open series.

Rocha drove all of seven laps total leading Patrik Mihálik after being engaged by him on the first lap. Rocha cleared Mihálik and into fifth place on lap 1, and controlled it the remaining 31 laps to the finish.

Historic SportsCar Iberic Open series moves on to Round 2 in a week at Jarama ’79. The series has 14 drivers competing for points in the multiclass championships.

Eduardo Hass leads the P3000 LE class championship in a tight campaign over Carlos Reina, separated by just a couple finishing positions. The title continues to be challenged by Gonzalo Colaci, Luís Almeida, and Phil Brown as well. The Top 5 places are an open battleground for five drivers in the running with four races remaining.

Silvino Rodrigues leads the S5000 LE class championship in a tight campaign over Nick Phillips, separated by just a couple finishing positions. The title continues to be challenged by Vinicius Ferreira, Mario Rocha, Patrik Mihálik, Jari Bruppacher, Philipp Pichler, Nigel Middleton, and Phil Shillitoe as well. The Top 5 places are an open battleground for nine drivers in the running with four races remaining.
