13 Feb 2009 — Mario Rocha took eighth place in the Michigan Showdown in Round 3 of the Stock Car Showdown [Euro] series.
Rocha spent the majority of 40 laps total pursuing Pablo Martinez after being challenged and passed by him on lap 12. Rocha launched a prolonged attack at Martinez in the early stages, staying within a sector behind him and keeping pace over a solid run of 36 laps. Ultimately Rocha settled into eighth the 32 laps running to the finish.
Rocha is 14th in the standings for the series. He has one start and finished as high as eighth.
Stock Car Showdown [Euro] series moves on to Round 4 in two weeks at Rockingham Speedway. The series has 19 drivers competing for points in the championship.
