25 Feb 2009 — Mario Rocha took 13th place in the Euro-Ring Skoda in Round 4 of the Skoda Cup [Euro] series.

Rocha mixed it up with Pablo Martinez in a determined fight for 12th starting early on, running within a turn of each other over a stretch of six laps and changing positions two times. Rocha ran the majority pursuing Martinez after initially targeting him on the third lap, coming from as many as 10 spots back. Ultimately Rocha settled into 13th the 16 laps running to the finish.

Rocha is 14th in the standings for the series. He has two starts and finished as high as seventh.

Skoda Cup [Euro] series moves on to Round 5 in two weeks at Manfield – New Zealand Grand Prix. The series has 35 drivers competing for points in the championship.

Pablo Martinez leads the championship in a tight campaign over Pete Bunce, separated by just a single grid spot. The title continues to be challenged by Sam Moss, Craig Wise, Ales Kurent, Zak Ollerenshaw, Nikola Vrhovski, Joaquin Perez, Marko Novak, Matej Ahacic, Sam Emmett, Adam Rouse, and Magnus Tellbom as well. The Top 5 places are an open ring for 22 drivers in the running with two races remaining.
