01 Nov 2016 — Joao Botelho De Sousa took sixth place in the Kyalami ’79 GT40 in Round 4 of the Swift Sport Classic GT40 series.
Botelho De Sousa spent equal parts of eight laps total leading Csaba Lakó after being caught by him on lap 29. Ultimately Botelho De Sousa settled into sixth the few laps running to the finish.
Botelho De Sousa finished the series 14th in the standings. He made two starts and finished as high as sixth.
Swift Sport Classic GT40 series finished its season after four rounds spanning several weeks. A total of 24 drivers competed for points in the championship.
Ken Jagger captured the championship, leading zero laps in four races. Ville Hartikainen, Luke Maney, Reinhard Berger, and Jason Mätas finished out the Top 5.
