17 Jun 2016 — Joao Botelho De Sousa took fourth place in the Barbagallo Wannero Bathurst 72 in Round 5 of the Bathurst Legends series.

Botelho De Sousa ran the majority of 22 laps total leading Greg Bartosek after challenging and passing him on lap 20, coming from as many as four spots back. Botelho De Sousa got around Bartosek and into fourth place on lap 20, and controlled it the remaining 17 laps to the finish.

Botelho De Sousa moves up to fourth in the standings, four points behind Zack Paine. Botelho De Sousa has two starts and finished as high as third.

Bathurst Legends series moves on to Round 6 in a week at Donington Park – GP. The series has nine drivers competing for points in the championship.

Ricardo Gomes leads the championship in a tight campaign over Greg Bartosek, separated by just a few grid positions. The title continues to be challenged by Zack Paine and Joao Botelho De Sousa as well. The Top 5 places are an open ring for nine drivers in the running with two races remaining.
