24 Oct 2016 — Joao Botelho De Sousa captured sixth place in the Thruxton BlancPain in Round 2 of the Blancpain Sprint Series [USA].
Botelho De Sousa ran equal parts of 28 laps total leading Bruno Chacon after being caught by him on the second lap. Ultimately Botelho De Sousa settled into sixth the 14 laps running to the finish.
Botelho De Sousa remains in third in the standings, increasing the lead over rival Chad Chapman to eight points. Botelho De Sousa has two starts and finished as high as third.
Blancpain Sprint Series [USA] moves on to Round 3 in two weeks at a track to be announced. The series has 16 drivers competing for points in the championship.
