11 Nov 2016 — Joao Beato led all drivers most for 15 of 21 laps but ultimately settled for third place in the Longbeach TCR in Round 2 of the TCR International Series.
Beato drove the majority of six laps total leading Juan Puyo after being caught by him on lap 16. Ultimately Beato settled into third the couple laps running to the checkered flag.
Beato is fifth in the standings for the series. He has one start and led 15 of his 21 laps raced while finishing as high as third.
TCR International Series moves on to Round 3 in three weeks at a track to be announced. The series has 15 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Manuel Alves leads the championship in a tight campaign over Juan Puyo, separated by just a few grid positions. The title continues to be challenged by Rob Milliken, Benjamin Linstruiseur, Joao Beato, Paul Anstey, Porfirio Dias Santos, Colin Barker, Salvatore Montella, Prawira Jalu, Ricardo Gomes, Simon Swarbrick, Chris Ulrich, Joe Nathan, and Jari Bruppacher as well. The Top 5 places are an open field for 15 drivers in the running with four races remaining
