24 Jul 2016 — Harris Muhammad started on the pole and led every lap on the way to a commanding victory for his first career win in the Hockenheim Short BTCC in the opening round of the British Touring Car Championship series.
Driving the Honda Civic BTCC, Muhammad ran all of 36 laps total leading Alan Rasman after being engaged by him on the first lap. Muhammad controlled the race lead every lap from start to victory.
The first win for Muhammad came on his eighth outing in the Honda Civic BTCC.
British Touring Car Championship series moves on to Round 2 in three weeks at Snetterton. The series has 12 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Harris Muhammad leads the championship in a tight campaign over Alan Rasman, separated by just a couple finishing positions. The title continues to be challenged by Jose Dorta, Indra Feryanto, Imam Pratama Rori, Jozsef Rebok, Csaba Maczelka, Juan Aul, Arif Rohman, Haitham Abdelkader, Muhammad Rafi Hadytama, and Yang Li as well. The Top 5 places are an open field for 12 drivers in the running with five races remaining.
