03 Jun 2016 — Nicola Guarini raced at the front of the field most of all drivers, leading 25 of 25 laps on a run to first place in the Gothenburg ’08 STCC in Round 5 of the Jimmy Adriaenssens Swedish Touring Cup 2016 series.
Driving the Honda Accord R STCC, Guarini drove all of five laps total leading Kenny Press after being engaged by him on the first lap. After starting second, Guarini took the race lead on the first lap and controlled it to the victory.
Guarini moves up to fourth in the standings, three points behind Simone Iezzi. Guarini has five starts and led 30 of his 84 laps while taking the win once.

Jimmy Adriaenssens Swedish Touring Cup 2016 series moves on to Round 6 in a month at Valer. The series has 19 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Driving the Peugeot 308, Press drove the majority of 25 laps total pursuing Simone Iezzi after catching him on the first lap. Press launched an extended challenge at Iezzi in the beginning, staying within an apex behind him and keeping pace over a solid run of 21 laps. Press got around Iezzi and into second place on lap 22, and defended it against pressure by Iezzi another three laps toward the finish.
Press remains in the lead of the standings, increasing the lead over rival Alessio Lucchesi to eight points. Press has five starts and led 19 of his 91 laps while taking the win once.
Simone Iezzi captured third place.
Iezzi spent nearly all of 24 laps total leading Kenny Press after being engaged by him on the first lap. Iezzi fended off an extended challenge by Press in the beginning, staying just an apex ahead of him over a solid run of 21 laps. Ultimately Iezzi lost the spot on lap 22 and settled into third the few laps running to the conclusion.
Iezzi remains in third in the standings, cutting the gap to second’s Alessio Lucchesi to 38 points. Iezzi has four starts and led four of his 73 laps while finishing as high as second.
