19 Dec 2016 — Everett Dumont captured 17th place in the Manfeild – Long BMW E21 in Round 3 of the Swift Sport BMW E21 Sayonara series.
Dumont swapped leads with Bruno Chacon in a determined fight for 16th from the middle stages, passing each other twice over a range of six laps. Dumont ran the majority pursuing Chacon after targeting him on lap 8, coming from as many as seven positions back. In the end Dumont settled into 17th the few laps running to the conclusion.
Dumont is 30th in the standings for the series. He has one start and finished as high as 17th.
Swift Sport BMW E21 Sayonara series moves on to its fourth and final round in a few days at Eastern Creek. The series has 34 drivers competing for points in the championship.
Ville Hartikainen leads the championship in a tight campaign over Tommaso Pinter, separated by just a single grid spot. The title continues to be challenged by Matias Perales, Mike Dos Santos, Javier Manzanares, Joaquim Figueira, and Carmen Montero as well. The Top 5 places are an open field for nine drivers in the running with one race remaining.
