Atlantic Motorsport Ferrari F458 #67 finished P4 in the 8 hours of SilverstoneAfter 225 laps, Marius Nicolae and Sido Weijer, finished on a briliant 4th place.

Marius did a great job in the wet and drying conditions in the first 2 stints. Sido and Marius had to come from the back of the field after serving a drivethrough penalty from crossing the pit blend line last race. After 2 and a half hours Marius handed me the car in p5!

Sido had a bit of a rough start. Forgot that he had cold brakes after a code 80 and went wide at Stowe. It was still wet outside the racingline so Sido spun and only just kept it out of the wall. A few laps later Sido spun in Luffield due to touching the wet stuff as well. Lost 2 positions with that, but had those back pretty quick because the other guys were making mistakes too. After 2 hours Sido handed the car back to Marius in p4.

Marius then drove another hour and a half, did a great job but got a bit out of his rhythm in his second stint. Spun a few times and decided to pit early in p5(?) to let me finish the last 2 hours of the race.
Last 2 hours went great. There was a gap of about 10 seconds to Fortin in the car in front, that gap remained 10 seconds for a long time but slowly increased towards the end of Sido first stint. With a 2 lap gap behind it looked like p5 was set in stone. But with 15 minutes to go the car in p3 disconnected, and suddenly we were p4! Adam Taylor decided to pass me around the outside on the exit of Luffield which didn’t fit, but we got off with just a few flatspots. Last 2 hours Sido drove very consistent laptimes and we managed to finish p4.

Best we could’ve done today was p3 if we both hadn’t spun. But we got through the race without damage and crashes, so we’re very happy with the result.
