16 Apr 2016 — Felipe Anzolin raced at the front of the field most of all drivers, leading 15 of 15 laps on a run to first place in the Le Mans ’91 HG4 in the opening round of the Lola T70 Sports Car Tour series.
Anzolin drove all of 12 laps total leading Joe Miller after being engaged by him on the first lap. After starting second, Anzolin took the race lead on the first lap and controlled it to the victory.
Joe Miller won second place.
Lola T70 Sports Car Tour series moves on to Round 2 in more than a month at Brianza ’66 – 10k. The series has five drivers competing for points in the championship.
Miller took the fight back and forth with April Dillon in a close battle for second from the early stages, running within an apex of each other over a span of nine laps and changing positions three times. Miller spent nearly equal parts leading Dillon after engaging and passing her on the third lap. After losing the spot on lap 7, Miller passed Dillon for the second time and into second place on lap 9, and controlled it the remaining half-dozen laps to the checkered flag.
April Dillon took fourth place.
Dillon swapped leads multiple rounds with Joe Miller in a relentless fight for second from the early stages, running within a turn of each other over a range of nine laps and changing positions three times. Dillon spent nearly equal parts leading Miller after being caught by him on the first lap. Ultimately Dillon lost the spot on lap 9 and settled into fourth the few laps running to the finish.
Wayne Whitmore captured third place.
