23 Jul 2016 — A razor-thin 0.003 seconds separated April Dillon ahead of Jim Barisoff at the checkered flag for Dillon to take second place in the Support for Andy Alabama Speedway NSCR15.
Dillon took the fight back and forth with Aaron Jackson in a lengthy and unrelenting fight for third from the beginning, running within a scuff of each other over a span of 50 laps and changing positions 15 times. Driving the Edgar, Dillon drove nearly equal parts leading Jackson after being engaged by him on the first lap. Dillon fended off a prolonged challenge by Jackson in the late stages, staying just a scrape ahead of him over a solid run of eight laps. In the end Dillon lost the spot on lap 92 and settled into fifth the lap running to the checkered flag, holding off Barisoff by the hairline margin at the line.
