16 Apr 2016 — Razvan Ariciuc led the pack for five laps in a run to first place in the Curitiba Lancer.
Driving the Mitsubishi Lancer RS, Ariciuc swapped leads multiple rounds with Felipe Anzolin in a lengthy and unrelenting battle for the race lead from the middle stages, running within an apex of each other over a range of 21 laps. Ariciuc drove nearly equal parts leading Anzolin after catching and passing him on lap 13. Ariciuc fended off an extended challenge by Anzolin midway through, staying just a scrape ahead of him over a solid run of six laps. After losing the spot on lap 19, Ariciuc cleared Anzolin for the second time and into first place on lap 20, and controlled it the remaining lap to the conclusion.
Felipe Anzolin logged a lap at the front in a second-place run.
Matteo Romboni raced at the front of the field most of all drivers, leading 15 of 21 laps but ultimately settling for third place.
Anzolin took the fight back and forth with Razvan Ariciuc in a lengthy and unrelenting battle for the race lead from the middle stages, running within a scrape of each other over a span of 21 laps. Anzolin spent nearly equal parts leading Ariciuc after being caught by him on the first lap. Driving the Mitsubishi Lancer RS, Anzolin fended off an extended attack by Ariciuc in the beginning, staying just an apex ahead of him over an unbroken run of 12 laps. In the end Anzolin lost the spot on lap 20 and settled into second the couple laps running to the checkered flag.
Driving the Mitsubishi Lancer RS, Romboni drove the majority of six laps total leading Razvan Ariciuc after being engaged by him on lap 12. In the end Romboni settled into third the half-dozen laps running to the checkered flag.
Antonio Castagna took fourth place.
Castagna swapped leads multiple rounds with Csaba Lakó in a lengthy and unrelenting battle for fourth from the beginning, running within a scrape of each other over a span of 21 laps. Driving the Mitsubishi Lancer RS, Castagna drove nearly all leading Lakó after challenging and passing him on the second lap. After losing the spot on lap 5, Castagna passed Lakó for the second time and into fourth place on lap 7, and defended it against pressure by Lakó the remaining 15 laps to the checkered flag.
Csaba Lakó took fifth place.
Driving the Mitsubishi Lancer RS, Lakó wrestled the advantage back and forth with Antonio Castagna in a long and tense battle for fourth from the beginning, running within a car length of each other over a span of 21 laps. Lakó drove the majority pursuing Castagna after being engaged and passed by him on the second lap. Lakó launched a prolonged challenge at Castagna in the middle stages, staying within a car length behind him and keeping pace over a continuous run of 15 laps. In the end Lakó settled into fifth the 15 laps running to the finish.
